Nicaragua / El Salvador

Description by ITMB: Nicaragua and El Salvador do not actually share a common border, but the two countries share the Central American reality of smallish countries: neither country sells well enough on its own to justify a map, but combined, they do. This map has two separate covers and two separate maps on either side of the sheet. The connecting link through Honduras is also shown. Nicaragua is one of the most popular travel destinations in CA (only Costa Rica and Panama sell better). The road network is decent and the Pacific coast has several resort areas and beaches. The country also has the only lake of significant size, with a dormant volcano in its middle. An inset map of Managua, the capital, is included. El Salvador is the region"s smallest country (about the size of Belgium) and again is shown in great detail. The country has numerous volcanoes, some more dormant than others, and half a dozen excavated Mayan ruin sites. An inset map of San Salvador, the capital, is included.
